Almost half of Realtors surveyed plan on working on Black Friday by showing property. Realtors planning on showing property expect to facilitate a firm sale due to serious buyers who are prepared with pre-approved loans and the expectation of making a purchase. All stakeholders, buyers, sellers and agents are poised to make deals. Many realtors expect to schedule an open house on Black Friday. Sellers who make their homes available on Black Friday need a sale and are prepared to make concessions in both price and incentives such as appliances and closing costs. By scheduling the open house on Friday, it will leave the balance of the holiday weekend to tie up loose ends on submitted offers.
Black Friday Is For Serious Shoppers
Since there will be fewer casual shoppers, real estate professionals are looking forward to focusing on serious buyers and sellers. Casual shoppers are not as apt to immediately take a deal if one is presented on this day and this day only. The longer weekend allows buyers an extended period of time and many of them are committed to making a deal over the extended weekend and look forward to closing by year end.
